With warm weather comes the switch to iced coffee and a craving for flavors beyond the basics. This shaken espresso-based coffee is flavored with brown sugar syrup and vanilla for when those coffee shop cravings hit!
Combine the brown sugar and water on low heat in a sauce pan, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat.
Meanwhile, prepare the shots of espresso.
Add ice cubes, espresso, brown sugar syrup, and vanilla extract to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for ~30 seconds until the shaker is fully chilled.
Divide the shaken espresso into two glasses, pouring over ice and topping with oat milk (or your milk of choice).
